Playing nicely for now....

So while we were visiting Arizona my brother's fiance Miji took us to a Korean restaurant and market. Doug was so excited to go. He spent nearly an hour shopping at the market for "real" Korean spices, and food. I, being the loving wife that I am, walked behind him with the heavy basket of goodies he kept finding. It was so fun to see him be so excited over stuff. After that wonderful moment we went to "Hodori" and stuffed ourselves with the best food ever. We actually ate Korean style... which means we had a little plate in front of us and then we would pick foods with our chopsticks from every other plate or bowl. It brought back memories of when Doug and I went to a similar restaurant in New York with our dear friends Doug and Shasta.
This was our meal! Most of the food was spicy so I didn't partake as much.
So I also stumbled upon some photos of the cute outfits my mom spoiled Brooklyn with while we were there. My mom has a tradition of getting the little one's a fun bib for their "First" holidays. So this is Brooklyn sporting her First Christmas Bib. She also got a cute stuffed reindeer to go with it too.
Cute bib!
My mom found this adorable jumper for Brooklyn. She just looks so stinking cute in red! Love that Moose Too!
The sad part of the trip to Arizona is the long drive there and back. The trip one way is 15hrs going down through Utah and it is 14hrs going through Nevada. The trip down wasn't as bad as we thought. But on the way home was a slight pain for us. We pushed ourselves all the way to Ely, Nevada the first day. Brooklyn had two meltdowns... and I admit I had one too. It is just so hard to entertain a little one who love to be out moving and in your arms. Which I couldn't do on the roads. So we dealt with a lot of crying and screaming on the way home.
Once we got to the hotel she was all smiles. Daddy and I were not since we had just come from 60 degree weather and the weather there was snowy, icy, and blowing at a lovely negative 2 degrees. I was tempted to turn the car around and head to Arizona again. The fun part about the hotel was the pool inside. It wasn't as big as Grandma and Grandpa's but it still made her giggle with joy.
This was the our smiling Brooklyn after a good nights rest. Notice that crazy hair of hers. I think she gets that from daddy. So after the long drive we are so excited to be home and already miss our family. Lucky us we get to go back in just a few more weeks to be with them again as my brother Mathew and Miji get married in the Mesa Temple. This time we will be flying.... surprisingly it didn't take a lot of begging to get Doug to agree to fly instead of drive. So we will be posting soon about the beautiful wedding and more swimming at Grandma April and Grandpa Michael's pool! Until I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!
