Ross family time

Molly and Aunt Kat

Hey everyone... SO here is what we did this past weekend. It was a rushed fun two days with the Ross side of the family. The little addition to my second oldest brother's family is Evi. She was blessed this last weekend. It was so much fun to hang out with my two cute nieces and my adorable nephew. So here are some funny and entertaining photos of our weekend.

So I know that was a really long post with tons of photos, but hey it is family. Anyways Hope all is great in your neck of the woods!!!

The end!!

just another day

Hey everyone... So this last weekend was packed full of family time. We drove down to Utah to see my new niece (Evelyn) blessed. My dad flew in and my grandparents came up. It was full of funny moments and crazy no sleep time. Doug and I enjoyed spending time with little Molly, Michael and Evi. Thanks guys for having us. Also thanks dad for the fun moments and constant giggles.
So other than a fabulous weekend Doug and I are trying to balance out everything the world is throwing at us right now. I am still in school and loving it. I am in a very intense second semester of nursing school. I am in class Monday and Tuesday. Then I have my clinical rotations that I have to be at way to early in the morning 5am Wednesdays and Thursdays. Some of these rotations are an hour to two hours away. But I only have a few more crazy ones like that. Doug is doing great in his new position. He has a lot of politics and drama he deals with. But he handles things really well and so far he is enjoying it.
We ended up not getting a house like we had planned, So now we are trying to find a place that we can rent and still keep the puppies. Kinda hard. But anyways life is a little stressful and there is a short time to get this all done. So please keep us in your prayers. Other than that I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!

The big 30!!!

Hello every one, So as in the title my dear husband has turned the big 30. So I have to admit that it took every ounce of my self control not to throw him a huge party. Doug didn't want to do a big thing. Which is very opposite of me. I like big parties and tons of people. So instead I ended up just keeping it low key and more him and me. Doug really wanted to go to the movies and out to eat to celebrate. So we went to the movie AVITAR!!! It was way fun and we enjoyed the date night together. Doug also enjoyed the tons of messages on the phone when we got home. So thank you all who left those wonderful birthday wishes. We love you and hope all is great in your neck of the woods!!

Man vs. Dog

So not to totally trump the post about my husband's tractor (which by the way scroll down to the next post and view it please), but we had a very eventful night last night.

You see we just got our newest addition to the animal part of our family back just a few weeks ago. That isn't the eventful part of the story... anyways so our little addition is a male border collie puppy named Tanker.

He looks so Innocent, doesn't he....

He definitely fits his name very well. So our friend Tony and Doug decided to castrate our little male dog, to help tame the beast. So after they thought they had knocked the little pup out they began the nasty deed. Well half way through it Tank raised his head up and began yelping. Doug thinking quickly (but not smart) puts his hand on his head and pushes it down. In the mean time Tanker decided to take out his anger and get revenge for what Doug is doing to him.

You ask how????

well by opening his mouth and getting a piece of my dear husband Doug. Yep, I said it he got his hand bit by our little puppy. Not just any bite, Doug had his hand deep in to his mouth when the first clamp occurred and then he tried to pull it out and Tank went in for the kill and clamped down way hard. Being the most amazing guy I know, Doug calmly says" ouch.. Ouch... OUCH!!!!" and with one hand prys his bitten hand loose from the jaws of little Tank. Not one swear word escaped his mouth. Now that is nothing new for him, but I would have said a few that is for sure. So good thing Doug was the one not me.

So I get home from work shortly after the mishap occurs and Doug proceeds to tell me what happens. What would you do if your husband told you this.... well like any other normal wife I begin to freak out and start thinking of the meds I need to get to shoot into him so he doesn't get Rabies and who knows what else, But Tony comes to the rescue of Doug and said he washed it out really good and put hydrogen peroxide on it and neosporin. So I calm down enough to say "ok let me see it." So you tell me what you guys think of it.....

Tank go him on the top of the hand and the deep parts are in the palm and his little finger knuckle.

So poor little Tanker was dead to the world when I showed up and was for like two hours after that too. When he finally did come to, he was so scared he hid under the kitchen table.

So that is the events that happen at our house. It is always a party here in the Yearsley family. I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!!!

Doug's recent adventures

Hello everyone, So I have been promising my dear husband that I would post about his rebuild of grandpa's tractor.
But as you read this post I hope you have the song in your head "She thinks my tractor's sexy". Because Doug sang that song as he started up his awesome tractor.
So here we have it. Doug got this tractor this past summer and has been tinkering on it ever since. So this last week my dear husband finally got it to run perfectly. I must admit he has more patience than I do. He has hit a few bumps in the road of finishing it a few times, but nothing got him down. He kept at it. I am so proud of him. I hope you enjoy the pictures and the video of the maiden voyage.

It has a nice face lift with the new paint job that my little brothers did this summer.

Doug showing off his new looking tractor.

Also I have a video of Doug taking the tractor out on it's first drive since the new face lift.
