How much is that doggy in the window?

****Warning: Really long post*******
Hey every one!! I hope you guys had a wonderful Halloween. Doug and I had a busy holiday. But before I get to that I probably should explain why my title to this post is "How much is that doggy in the window". So I was surfing craigslist.com and ran into free puppies. So of course I clicked on it to find out what type of adorable puppies were for free. They are border collie/other cow dog. I of course quickly called my husband and asked if I could have one. His reply "no more dogs!" So I asked my sister-in-law if she would like a puppy. She said yes and so Doug and I volunteered to go get one. Yes I am evil for plotting against my husband, but you would to after you saw these adorable puppies. So we went and yes... Doug fell in love with one of the puppies. So we picked out a girl puppy for our nephews and a boy puppy for us. Sad part of the story though. We can't have two dogs at the house cus of our contract. So my dear sister-in-law has graciously helped me out in that department. We have had the two puppies at our house these past few days.

Just chilling after rough housing!
Both puppies first day we got them!
So on to my second part of the post. What we did on Halloween. We decided to stay home and pass out candy. We invited a few friends over to play games and munch on Halloween food. Jaylynn loved playing with the puppies. She kept tripping on her ghost costume when she went to touch the puppies.

Tanker (our puppy) being loved by Jaylynn, Tanker trying to escape.

Ok, So I didn't dress up for Halloween to pass out candy, But I did dress up for work on friday. My co-worker and I decided to go as Miss America and 1st Runner up. It was really fun. Thanks Lottie for putting up with my crazy ideas. Anyways life is great and busy, but that seems to be normal. I hope all is great in your neck of the woods.

Thank Carrie for letting me borrow your prom dress. It was so much fun!!!

Horse Competition (Sandpoint, ID)

Yeah, SO this is way over due, but I finally have time to sit down and actually do it. Also Doug was able to revive his laptop so we have that until it finally dies on us. But cross your fingers that it won't any time soon. Anyways on to what I am posting about. So Doug and I went up to Sandpoint again this year to compete with Paradise Stables. This year Doug and I actually got to compete in a few competitions. We both placed in both our competitions. Brian Loomis , put me in for the barrel racing event. I have been trying to convince them to let me do it and this year Brian surprised me and put me in. I was so nervous I started shaking in my saddle. That sounds weird but seriously I was so worried I would come flying off that huge horse once we got around a barrel. But lucky me I stayed on the whole time. So my disclaimer is that the horse had never done the barrels before and I pushed him hard to get it done. Poor Jared got confused when I pointed him at the barrel and kicked him. So we ended up circling the barrel the wrong way which disqualified me. But I still finished and waved to the crowd as I went. It was a really fun year. We appreciate Brian and Larry Loomis for letting us be part of their crew. We loved every minute of it. Next year Jared and I will totally place in the Barrel Race. Well I hope all is great in your neck of the woods.

Sad day....

So I come to you via work computer. It was a very terrible day for little house hold. I will try to keep short, but we had to say goodbye to two of our dearest friends. We leaned on them for nearly four years and felt we could trust them....... So yeah I came home and tried to start up my husband's laptop and it wouldn't even turn a light on. So then I thought hey did I even plug the darn thing in.
yes... I do get a few of those types of moments each day. he he
But nope it was plugged in. So after fiddling with it for twenty minutes I finally pulled my laptop out to get something done. yeah guess what it did......Nothing. yeah it had the darn idea that it didn't even want to start up. So I sat there for an hour turning it on and off to get it to just start up. UGH!!!! I just can't believe that after nearly four years they both decided to call it quites at the same stinking time. So yeah we are open to any ideas that might help us out here.
We really like the programs we have on them and don't want to pay a huge lump sum to get new ones. So I am asking for any ideas.......... well until I have a computer that works we may be off line for a while. So until we meet again, I hope all is great in your neck of the woods.

I am going insane

Hey everyone,
I swear we haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Even though I feel like I have. So yeah this post is me venting.... so I am sorry to you all right now. But anyways so I am in the thick of things with nursing school. I am feeling a little bit (Heck completely) over whelmed. I have two test every week and then on top of that I also have to deal with passing off all the critical techniques. We are not allowed to fail any of these check offs. Which I can see why... would you want a nurse who can't draw your blood correctly. No pressure or anything...... Then I have a big exam dealing with dosage calculations that you have three times to pass (90% or above). Which means you can only miss two questions... no problem ... except I didn't get the math smarts in my family. Which I pray our children get the math smarts from Doug, cus I can't help them there.
O yeah did I mention I get really bad test anxiety too!!!

OK enough of my complaining... I have a lot to be happy about. I have to admit that last night I had a huge meltdown and called Doug on the phone and cried to him. He tried to calm me down and remind me I am smart and can handle this degree. While we were on the phone he suggested I get a blessing from our dear friend Tony. So I called Tony and with in seconds he was over there with another of our friends to give me a priesthood blessing. I am so honored that they could come and help me out. They are wonderful men in our ward. That blessing calmed my nerves and helped me realize that I am not alone and that the lord is with me every step of the way. So I feel so much better now and I know I can take on any challenge as long as I have the lord there with me.
OK I am done venting. I promise to put up pictures of our adventures in Sandpoint, ID as soon as I get done with these exams. Love you all and hope all is great in your neck of the woods.

Any one want crab?

Alright I know I am not doing my best at updating my blog in a timely manner. Yes, I admit it has taken me nearly a full month to just put my pictures of our vacation in Seattle, Washington. But I am proud to say that this is the last post on Washington vacation....well until we go again. But I promise to do better with my next vacation... this coming week. I think that was my big motivation was the fact that I will have to posted about our Draft Horse Show Competition next week. So anyways on to what I was going to really Blog about.....

On our last day there was got up at the wee hours of the EARLY morning and raced to the cove. We then proceed to wade out into the (cold) ocean water, sea weed clogged water to try and find crabs. Now I was totally gun ho about all this until I realized I wouldn't be able to see what was in the water. That just freaks the crap out of me. I think I have seen way to many scary movies. Anyways Doug and I were a team and had to carry around a large paint bucket and a three pronged rake to find these critters. Once we found them we had the trick of trying to catch them. Then on top of that you have to measure their shell to see if they are even big enough and then check if female or male. There are some stricked rules on how many you can have, size, and the gender. We were crabbing for the Dungeness and the red ones. Anyways it was definitely a memorable moment and we loved it. I have to admit I was not thrilled after a crab latched on to Miriam's foot and made her scream, cus that made me scream and freaked me out even more so.
O yeah some of the other pictures are from us visiting Forks Washington again. They had this really cool store that was decorated really sweet. So of course I took some fun pictures. Doug even let me take a picture of him with Edward and Bella cut outs. Man he puts up with a lot. ha ha Anyways we loved all the fun crazy memories we made that rushed week. Thanks again Adam and Miriam for vacationing with us. Next time we should do a cruise!!!

Rihanna and I showing the yummy crab!

Goodbye Kisses!

Feasting on our Crabs!!!
