I love the smell of fall....

Hello to all who read this blog. So this will be the last post for a while since we will be on another short vacation. But as soon as I return there will once again be loads of amazing information and crazy pictures of our adventures.

Many of you know that I have been graduated and not on the same intense and outrageously crazy schedule that I used to be on. I have found myself twiddling my thumbs and staring at the ceiling a time or two wondering what to do next. I do not seem to have that little issue right now due to some fun and wonderful girls in my new stake. These southern Idaho girls seem to be constantly moving. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I am forced to run three to four miles (with no rests, I might add). Then on Tuesday and Thursday we go on an hour long walk. This usually all goes down around 8: A.M. every morning. Lucky me!!! (sarcasm inserted at end of sentence).
But after our early morning fun we dive into this thing called "Canning".
I have learned a few things from trying to be a domestic house wife. Yes, I am first to admit I suck at cooking and still am calling Miriam Butikofer or my poor sister-in-laws for: "Help I think I ruined the dinner" advice. So I am going to post my achievements of this month. I do have a few more things I have to preserve once they ripen up.

So here we go:

The first are dill pickles, second are sweet pickles, third are bread and butter pickles.

These are dutch pickles aka relish. I also am doing cinn. pickles (yucky sounding I know, but Doug said he loves them.. so I am making him some this week). Man I did not know you could do so many things with cucumbers. I am sick of cucumbers right about now!!

These are the first set of peaches, next are apricots and third are pickled green beans.

These are just green beans, next is blackberry jam, Last one is strawberry jam. I also made freezer strawberry jam.

This is chock-cherry syrup (put over pancakes..yummy). Next is peach pie filling(freezer) last frozen corn. Sadly I have not finished my canning yet this year. Not pictured that is done is large jars of apricot nectar and canned carrots with potatoes.

Man.. check out all that yummy stuff...sad thing is I won't let Doug touch it until it snows.. I need to feel like I have something in my pantry. Well until I blog again. Love you all and hope everything is going great in the neck of your woods.
