September flew by in a flash. So in a crazy quick recap of what we did
~ Our annual Draft Horse Competition in Sandpoint, ID
~ Driving the old Red Truck with Daddy,
~ play dates with friends,
~ And of course another fun photo shoot.
Draft horse show:
This year was slightly different in the fact that we had a little one to try and balance along with getting everything ready for the competitions. I would have to say it went really well. There were times when we would be right in the middle of trying to harness up four horses and someone had little Brooke Trout in their arms or on a hip as we rushed around. It turned out to be really a fun year. Lots of helpers ( Libby, Ali, Michael, Caren, Grandma Loomis and Grandma Yearsley) that were around to graciously hold the little tyke. She loved all the attention she got while we were up there. She got to meet the other part of her extended family: The Loomis side. She met Sheila and Larry (grandparents) and Caren and Brian (aunt and Uncle) and all their beautiful children (cousins).

Brooke-Trout and Mommy waiting to harness up. Brooklyn got to hang out in that stroller a lot while we were in the big horse barn.
Doug and Ali getting the horses all gorgeous for the show.

We are so excited for the next year's show. Little Trout will be running and bossing all of us around. We are so appreciative of all the extra hands that helped us with the show and helping us with our little Trout. It was really a fun and exciting year. Doug placed in everything he entered in too. This was the first year that he placed really high (2nd) in team. Yeah Hun!!! Sadly I didn't compete this year, (yeah I was lame-o). But next year I will get back in the saddle and do my barrel racing and team driving!
Photo Shoot:
This is yet again another fun photo shoot of Trout with one of her really fun outfits she got from one of her Aunts. I love the "little Bo-peep" leggings.

She is such a ham!
Showing off the fact that we are sitting up all by ourselves!!
Play-date:
So Brooklyn gets to hang out with one of her buddies (Les) every Wednesday. She loves to steal toys from her buddy. Don't worry he usually steals them right back. They get a long pretty good for the most part.
Brooklyn and Les laughing and playing together.
Driving the old red Truck:
So daddy gets to spend all day with Trout all by himself (cus mommy works) on Friday. So what do they do while mommy is away. Well daddy breaks a lot of the rules like: NO car seat, playing in the barn, eating leaves or anything she can get her hands on while daddy isn't looking!
So in other words Trout and Daddy have way to much fun with out mommy. The other day I told Doug she could not ride in the old red Truck around the barn yard with out her car seat. She had to be in a seat belt. So some how daddy found a loop-hole in mommy's rules. This is what he came up with:
Trout in the truck with a seat belt on. haha
She absolutely loved riding in the truck with daddy. He even gave her an apple to gum to death. Does this picture show how extremely happy she is to hang with daddy? Yeah mommy isn't as cool as he is.
Trout telling daddy how to drive the truck properly.
So that is what our September was all about. I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!
