Ana White Farmhouse Bed frame!

Hello everyone,
Well I have been asking my hubby to build me a bed frame.  He agreed to build me one after we paid off one of our loans. So we did that I began searching for the perfect bed frame. I found my dream bed frame on a website: www.anawhite.com . This site is a "how to build amazing furniture".
So I found a "Farmhouse" frame I wanted. The trick was putting it all together in a timely matter... I learned a lot about my personality and patience level. So did Doug. hehe
I want to thank my hubby for enduring this project with me. He did a fabulous job engineering the bed frame.

Doug helping me sand the foot of the bed.

Sanding down the head of the bed frame.

Still hard at work.....

Did I mention that I really am sick of sanding this project... It took us nearly a whole month to finish this project. ( due to being way busy with life and everything else).

Yeah I am almost done with this part of sanding!

Doug yet again helping me frame the bed.
We decided to to stain the bed cherry and put poly on it. After one coat of stain and two to three coats of Polyurethane. That took the longest time to get done.

Poor little  Brooklyn was exhausted of this project. She was such a trooper for dealing with late nights of mommy and daddy sanding and staining and polyurethane-ing the frame.

Setting it up in our room and putting the finishing touches on the layout.

This is the finished project. It isn't the best picture of it. But it is so beautiful and I love it!
It is a very tall bed! I have to kind of do a little jump to get in it. I guess our kids will have more of a challenge to get in our bed with us. haha
I am so glad to finally check this off my to-do list!
