And the Trees came tumbling down!

Since we have moved into our house we have begun to do a few changes around the place. Doug wanted to do some tree chopping during the summer time. We had some beautiful pine trees right next to the house. Doug being an engineer wouldn't allow the trees to be so close to the foundation. We also were sick and tired of constantly climbing on the roof to clean out the rain gutters every month, because they filled with pine needles. So we called upon Doug's older brother Matt and his family to come join in on the fun of chopping down some trees. We were planning on chopping 7 trees down. Two pine trees and the rest were dead willow trees. We accomplished 4 trees getting cut down in one day. Which is really good for as big as the trees were.

This is the two pine trees behind our house, cut down in our backyard.

This is Chase and Doug chopping at the branches on one of the big pine trees.

This is me enjoying hanging out with Mckay on the swing and watching all the work get done. I was having a wonderful time until my nephews found this cute frog. Now this cute frog was cute from a far, but my mischievous nephews (Layton and Trey) learned real quick that I don't like the frog that close to me. So I spent the next hour running from them as they threw the frog on me or at me. Yes I admit I am the older one out of the three, but it was a yucky green slimy frog!

Don't worry I will get them back when they aren't expecting it. haha

Also we had started cutting the trees down when it was somewhat nice and sunny, but by the time all was said and done, The weather had turned nasty and it was down pouring on the guys while they finished up the work.

We are so grateful for all the hard work the boys put in that day. Our yard is now so clean because of them and we are now treeless and have a nice back porch patio.
Well we hope all is great in your neck of the woods!
