Birthday fun!!!

Hey everyone, So Doug's birthday is coming up and we had his family over for lunch and some birthday cake. He doesn't actually turn the big 29 until January 28th. But why not party all week long?! So that is what we did. So Doug's oldest bro and his family came to join in on the festivities. I decided to get creative with the birthday cake this year. So I got some starburst (yellow) and made some straw bails then I crafted up a cake with a mountain on it for the farm house to sit on .... then I found the most adorable candles to go with the scene. Which was "Farm cake". The pictures do the explaining.

First you need the cake then you need candles and frosting!

Then you cover cake with frosting.. then candles and hay bails!

Decorate with words then add some fire and you have a farm cake!

The most entertaining part was having Doug blow the cake out with his cute nephew's (Zander) help.

Wait the best part was when one of the other nephews (Layton) decided to sit in the pot and get his backside stuck! Man there is never a dull moment when kids are around. ha ha

So yeah our party rocked and it was so much fun having Doug's family over to hang out. We hope all is great in your neck of the woods. Love ya tons!!
