Another crazy weekend!

Hey every one! So I realized that we haven't really blogged a lot about our little family. So here is the low down of our fun adventures. Doug and I decided to go visit Doug's parents this last weekend in Idaho Falls area. We enjoyed our time there and loved spending time with them. We dropped by our college friends (Butikofers) house to visit some and then headed our way out to home. We drove Doug's truck because he was picking up grandpa's old tractor to fix up. We had no bumps in the road at all and no problems or nothing. Then we hit a small snag in the fun adventures of Doug and Kathryn...... See Doug's lovely truck is old... like older than snot. It is one of those amazing trucks that you pass down from generation to generation. well that lovely truck has some quirks to it.
Like for instance it hates me with a passion and will not work properly when I drive it. But when Doug drives it there is no funny noise and it shifts just fine!!!! UGH!!! anyways that is a whole other story. So we get to just a few miles from the Twin Falls Exits when we hear a loud noise and Doug cries out " Man we are out of Gas". I reply " What did your gas gage read Doug?!" He says in defense " well sometimes is reads wrong though Hun!" Yet again another quirk of old trucks.
*Our lovely ride!! *Doug hanging out on the interstate near the trailer!
SO I grab my handy-dandy cell phone and call our Knight in Shining Armor (Doug's older brother Matt). He lives near us and has been such an amazing help. He mounts his trusty NEW truck and brings us a can of gas! YEAH!!! for older brothers!! So we love having family near by. They deserve a round of applause for saving us from the evil empty old truck! So after we were saved the truck made it all the way to the house with out any further trouble until My dear husband backed up the trailer into our drive way and now the trailer is stuck because it is on a huge slab of ice and will not move. Well I think I have had enough adventures for one weekend. I hope all is fabulous in your neck of the woods!

Way to go for all the cars that need tlc and time and money and more time and more money. BUT they are the coolest most memory filled vehicles on the road, even if we sometimes leave part of them on the road. That just means they are givin' their all so much that they leave it "all out on the field".

Men and their trucks!
I am glad that we were home so that Matt could come to your rescue! :)

You gotta love the old vehicles that run and run and never seem to die, but you have to care for them daily just to keep them running haha! The car I drive right now has over 300000 miles on it and its still kickin! But not without some TLC. I love the tractor too! That's pretty sweet!
