So we had a very special day early in May. We got to bless and name our little girl. It was so amazing to see such love and support from our family and friends. In total we had over 30 people come for the blessing day. We had nearly 60 people come out for the family and friend lunch in. Phew!!! When we get together we know how to throw a party! We had both sides of the family there to support us. That in itself is a large group, I am 3rd out of 9 children and Doug is 3rd out of 6 children. So our families are growing. I am kind bummed about not getting hardly any photos of this event either. yeup I have decided I really need to just hire a photographer for these things and let them worry about all the captured moments, because I am so focused on everything else that it got shoved to the back of my mind. But what photos I did get are theses:
Grandpa Mike, Grandma April, Me, Brooklyn, Doug, Grandma Janet, And Grandpa Kim
on the blessing day.
So this is how lame sauce I am, I finally got around to taking blessing dress photos of my daughter when she is nearly 3 months old. Yeup chalk that up for greatest mom of the year. haha But this photo is one of my favorites since she is totally smiling and laughing at me!
Brooklyn's serious face... look at that cute little pumpkin! By the way that enormous flower/bow on her head was so hard to keep on during church on her blessing day. But it was worth the struggle!
This dress was really long and make of slippery material. Doug was so worried he would drop her that he practiced a few times before the day. I love the dress, my mother picked it out and shipped it to us when we found out we were having a girl. LOVE my mom!!
So there you have it, the blessing day was so full of wonderful memories of family and friends. We feel so blessed and loved to have such wonderful support from everyone. Thank you everyone for coming to share such a wonderful memory with us!!
Hope all is great in your neck of the woods!
