Hey all my creative friends who are just itching to help me out.
I have this slight problem that I am running into this week. So my dear amazing hubby is turning 31 years old on Friday and I want to make a really cool cake. I bought some Toy trucks and wondered how you guys would work it to look cute including those toys? Any fun ideas???
I tried googling cake decor images, but it didn't give me any fun things that I think I could try. So just to tell you I am not the greatest cook and need some help here on cake decor ideas. Well, also a bonus to ideas I will try them and take pictures and post the results of them. Hope all is great in your neck of the woods!

I would do a sheet cake so you have lots of space to work with. Ice the cake in white buttercream. With a gel pen or something similar, make the outlines of a windy road. Fill with road in with crushed chocolate graham crackers or crushed oreos. Put the trucks on the road. You can buy marzipan and model construction signs out of it and use food coloring to dye paint it or knead it into the marzipan before you model it. You could even go as far as writing cute things on the signs.
OR you could do a sheet cake and have a car show with the trucks. You could dress the cake up with edible glitter and cool stuff like that. Good luck. I am sure his cake will be great!!!
OR, you could put a big puddle of pudding on one side of the cake and make it look like it is stuck in the mud. Then you could have another truck towing it out with a black licorice string. You know those man commercials from GMC? Do something like that, with towing a ton of rocks (jelly beans) or something manly.
