Changes in the house!

Alright here is the update on the rest of the house being redone.I think I left off on the guest/baby room. So we ripped the carpet out of that room too and then we decided to paint it.

Doug starting to pull the yucky carpet up!
I was really lucky and had some help with the painting in both rooms. Janet (Mother-in-law) and Heather (my dearest friend) showed up to help with the chaos of everything.

They are such hard workers.
After being in the room for a while we started to get the giggles. I think it could have been due to all the pain fumes we were sniffing. But we really had some funny moments. For instance we ran out of blue tape to put around the edges. So Janet decided to reuse the tape we used in the master room to tape the guest room. That sounds like a great idea right!?
Well I had crumpled and mangled the tape before I had known we needed to use it. So Janet spent hours painstakingly pulling apart every piece to use on the walls.

This is just one of the many wads of tape she pulled apart!

She got most of it untangled and used up. We worked until midnight and had most of the rooms done. We painted the trim in the master room and that room was finished. The quest/baby room had a light green on the upper part of the walls, then there is a gray on the lower part of the walls. The trim is the same color as the mast room (pearl). I wasn't going to pain the closet, but Janet had a great idea and so we did.

We painted it the light green. I really like it!

So here is part of the finished product. The rest of the photos are still on the camera. SO that will come soon.

Sort of end product.

I also had a few decor pictures I wanted to show everyone.

So I got this cute idea form my friend Shasta Brown. She had called me up and asked that I send her some tree branches. Well it took me so long to get them too her she had already got some. So I stole her idea for my living room and my master bedroom. The branches were given a clear coat to protect the color of the bark. Doug and I spent forever measuring and cutting to get these right.

before we hung it up.

What it looks like after being hung up.
Well that is it for now. I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!!

Oh my gosh, those curtain rods look awesome!!!!!! I am really jealous. When I move into a more permanent place I will be calling on you for more wood. :) We used the trees that we had for candle holders and lamp bases. I'll take pictures when we finish them. :) Congrats on the new house girly. Your baby room looks awesome.
