Ok finally updating on graduation!!

Ok so first of all I want to thank all those loving friends and family that came to my graduation. It means so much to me to of had you there to share that wonderful moment in my life with me! Also a wonderful thank you to all those who send beautiful cards and their love!! I am so blessed to have such amazing support from family and friends!!

So graduation happened in a whirl wind of fun and stress. I have decided that stress is just a normal emotion that is build into my every day life. So I was on the decoration committee. I showed up early and helped make the stage look pretty awesome. NO I don't have pictures of that. I know kinda lame, but hey I was kinda busy.
This is how Kathleen and I transported the glass vases to the ceremony!
Seat belts are amazing things!!
Then I rushed over to the canyon's edge. Doug had set up a wonderful ice cream sundae party for me to help celebrate my graduation. Family and friends showed up and helped eat all the melting ice cream. Did I mention that it was like over a hundred degrees that day. I felt like I was melting in my uniform. yuck!

But anyways after that we rushed over to the ceremony. I got to wear all whites and that is hard to keep clean! As part of the ceremony all the students came in caring a flower that represented them. I chose a big pink one (even though pink is not my favorite color) to represent me.

We placed them in large vases to symbol our joining together in the program. We had one of our professors (Scott Snell) speak at the ceremony. Then we had the "Pinning" ceremony. Once we were pinned we also were given a white lily to represent our unity and change from our old flowers. I asked Doug to pin me. Lucky me I was the last one to be pinned. Having the a last name that starts with "Y" usually puts me at the last of the list. But that is totally ok with me. It helped me to get all the nervous jitters out by the time Doug had to pin me.

I was afraid he would poke me and I would bleed on my white shirt!
* Ok funny story part. So I went up to get pinned and my sweet Aunt Clarice yells at the top of her lungs " GO Kathryn that is my girl". I couldn't help but smile and wave in that direction. That got a few laughs out of the crowd. I gave Doug a hug and a kiss after he pinned me. Then there was a slide show of our 11 months together. There were a lot of funny photos that I swore I deleted but they showed up. =)

My aunt C and uncle Mark. She represented the Packer side =)
So after we were done with the ceremony we were supposed to walk nicely off the stage, but all the students decided had planned to dance off the stage. Being the last one in, meant I was the first to walk off the stage. I was supposed to set the standard for the walk. Yeup I did my husband proud and literally danced off the stage. I looked back as I was going and saw one of my professors glare, but smile too! So yeah I am officially an LPN. I have my big boards a head of me. But don't worry I am still going to enjoy my summer!

Showing my large book to study for my exam! Doug and Me excited to be DONE!!

I apologize about this comment having nothing to do with your post. My comment (or rather a question) concerns a comment you left on Jade's blog. You mentioned something about a bean bag with a window in it... I think I know what you're talking about, but wondered if you could elaborate (or even post a short tutorial if you make one for Jade's kids). Thanks! My email is kmvt18@gmail.com if it's easier to email me directions.
