Harvest Time

Well summer is beginning to run it's course and now the real busy time will begin. Harvest time is just around the bend. I got a phone call from a friend the other day telling me that she has tons of summer apples that she needs to have picked off her tree and taken. So little Bug and I headed over and filled a laundry basked full of apples. I was almost done picking when I realized that Brooklyn was pulling the apples out and putting them on the grass. Then she was picking up the yucky squished apples and putting them in the basket instead. UGH!! that little helper was so so helpful with picking apples.
This was our starting product... lots and lots of apples.
While I was trying to peel and core all those apples little bug kept trying to insist that I pay more attention to her. After a few seconds I figured a way to fix that problem.

She was all about helping me once I showed her what I need her to do.

One apple at a time into the sink to wash and then make into applesauce.

Yes I know it is just one apple at a time, but it was a whole half hour of entertainment for her and I.
With my little helper I was able to get a whole lot of applesauce canned! Let the Harvest Season Begin!
Hope all is great in your neck of the woods!
