Birthday girl and Friend party

Hey everyone,
So our little Brooklyn has turned the Big ONE! It is crazy how time has flown by so fast. It still feeling like we just got home from the hospital with our little bundle of fun. She has being such a joy to have in our family. We feel so blessed to have her as our daughter. So our little one has grown so much. She was born March 20th at 4:21am  6lbs and 10oz.  19 inches long.  Now our girl is a whopping 21lbs and 10 oz. and 29 inches long.
On her birthday we had a few friends come over and celebrate with us.  My dear friend Kelly Midbust made Brooklyn's birthday cake and all the really yummy cupcakes too.
Her first Cake!
The top of the cake had cute butterflies and flowers made out of fondant. She did an amazing job!

So I had a little fun in decorating for Brooklyn's party.
The present table.

The theme was "Cute as a Bug". All the little guest got butterfly nets and little butterfly bags. I found a fun idea on pinterest to make butterfly things out of baggies, goldfish and a clothes pin. Who knew the crazy cute things you could make? haha

Our little party girl waiting for the guest to arrive.

Some more decorations.

So little Brooklyn was supposed to wear this adorable butterfly head thing... but it lasted a whole two seconds.

A little shell shocked... Couldn't get the photo to rotate.

Starting to open up the presents with all her little friends.

Still struggling with the photo rotating thing. But more friends helping unwrap gifts.

Brooklyn was not really into the presents.

All her little friends were big helpers when it came to unwrapping the presents.

Brooklyn was so excited to get to her cake.

Happy birthday  to Brooklyn

She was so focused on all her little friends singing to her.

Let the cake eating begin!

So it wasn't very dramatic... she mainly picked at the green frosting....

5 minutes later... still picking at the green frosting....

Finally figured out the rest of the frosting was yummy...

A good 15 minutes later her finally got to the cake.

Addilyn is one of Brooklyn's friends. She was giving a few pointers on how to eat the cake.

These are the fun presents that Brooklyn got. She was so grateful for all the friends that came and  helped her celebrate her 1st birthday. Thanks everyone. Hope all is great in your neck of the woods.
