Hey every one who reads this blog. So I had a few minutes today at work and decided to blog surf. Yes I proudly admit about my blog surfing. Anyways so back to what I was saying. I ran across a friends blog and her past years reflections. Then it hit me that Doug and I have already reached our 1 year mark of being out of college.
Yikes I know. So then I began to look back on this past year and it's hardships come back swiftly, but where there are hard ships there are always hidden blessings.
I remember moving our entire life down to southern Idaho in just one swift weekend. The whole time thinking this was the stupidest thing we have ever done. I am the first one to admit that I was devastated when Doug and I sat down and weighted out all our offers and then prayed about it and got the answer we did. (GOODING, IDAHO).
Through ups and downs we always had each other to lean on. I would have to say Doug definitely stepped up to the plate when I would doubt our decisions.
But enough with the negative parts there have been loads and loads of blessings that we were given. We got out of our apt and are living rent free in a nice house for a missionary couple. We are able to start paying off most of our loans really quickly. Doug and I have wonderful callings in the church which allow us to get to know many people in the ward. We have made such wonderful friends in the entire Wendell Stake. Doug and I both were able to get great jobs really close to our home. I actually get to work in a doctor's office while I go to nursing school. That is a huge blessing in it self. Another wonderful blessing was having Doug's older brother (Matt)'s Family announce that they were moving down near us. That was a relief to have them around us again. We love spending time with them and the nephews.
I am so glad that we followed the lord's prompting to move down here. I know there are so many mountains in front of us with life's bumpy roads ahead. But with each trial Doug and I have grown so much closer to each other and the lord. I am so grateful for all those who have reached out and become our friends. I am glad we have made it a year so far and can't wait for what the next few years hold for us.
Wow that was a long post. Sorry!!! Next one will be full of pictures and less rambling. Love ya and hope all is great in your neck of the woods.

We have had lots of those moments in our time together. Move across the country to DE? That was crazy. Then move to VA so Doug could do another year at school? Again crazy, but Doug was able to get a great job because of it. Although we won't be here for forever we see where we are headed and how we got there. Pretty cool once you see the blessings from it.
Rambling is good. Glad you guys are so happy. Somebody's got to live in Gooding, Idaho, right? :)
Cool cool, I have a friend from gooding, it's a good ol' place!
It's amazing what the Lord knows isn't it? That is a neat post. It is always healthy to reflect and see where you have been.
