To Oregon and Back!!!

Hey everyone... So I finally got the vacation pictures loaded up so here is what we have done all month! We drove seven and a half hours to Madras, Oregon two weekends ago. You ask why... well Doug and his old boss have this tradition of going to this huge horse auction every year. I usually couldn't go because I worked or I was dealing with college piles of homework. So lucky me I could go this year with Doug. I must admit I have never been to a professional auction and man it was way fun. I had to sit on my hands and that was hard cus I love to talk with my hands, but there was no way I was going to accidentally pay over $5,000 dollars for a wagon or some harness! yeah I am serious these auctioneers take their job serious and will pick up on any hand flailing or head nod! YIKES, but we got out of there with out paying for anything in the auction.
By the way have you guys ever heard a real auctioneer preform. yeah it was so amazing to hear them raddled off stuff. I would probably liken it to a grown adult putting their finger to their lips and blowing raspberries..... Ok maybe not that much spit was involved but it was that fast and funny to watch!
The auctioneers at work! This is a real Amish Cart too!

My way packed burrito and Doug enjoying his Cowboy Burger!!

Every girl's dream ... The Cinderella Carriage!!! Doug Chilling at the amazing hotel!

So I fell madly in love with the hotel's couch in our room! I mean hello it is RED!!!!

Anyways I hope you all enjoy the fun pictures of us chilling at this amazing hotel and scoping out the auction items! Here is a glimpse of what an Oregon Auction looks like!I hope all is great in your neck of the woods!

Auctioneers are awesome to listen to. I remember when I was a kid and my dad would take me to auctions for the pigs we raised. I pointed at one and he pushed my hand down QUICK! I almost accidentally bought us a really expensive pig!
